The 42th Oktoberfest will officially open on Friday, September 30th when German-Austrian club president, Walter Schmied taps the first barrel of beer at 4.30pm.

"Ozapft is (it's tapped)," he cries.

Cabramatta residents will be joined by thousands of visitors from across Australia and around the globe for the annual family festival.

 The motto for Oktoberfest is live and let live. Eat and Drink Well. This year's entertainment will include German bands & brass bands.

Oh! and we mustn't forget the beer. What would The Original Fairfield Oktoberfest be without mentioning the beer - only the best beers in the world in our beautiful Souvenir Steins.

Or perhaps you may prefer our famous Apple Schnapps. Either way you can drink and be merry.
